Website statistics
I use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Plausible is hosted in the European Union, sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not follow you across websites. Your IP address is only used, together with a salt that changes every day, to count unique visitors; it is never stored. I only see totals.
Cookies and other services
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools other than the statistics described above, so it shows no cookie banner. Fonts are served from this website, not from Google Fonts. Some articles include YouTube videos. Nothing loads from YouTube until you click a video to play it; from then on, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may store information in your browser under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, such as Bluesky or journal pages, lead to services with their own privacy notices.
If you email me, I receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. Email to a Maastricht University address is handled by the University's email service.

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you by emailing j.kaminski@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
