Speaking & Advisory

Speaking
I regularly speak at international conferences and executive education programs on the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation, and causal machine learning. My expertise in entrepreneurial finance, technology assessment, and data-driven decision-making has led to keynote presentations and workshops at universities including EPFL Lausanne, HEC Paris, Scuola IMT Lucca, MIT, United Nations University, University of Lausanne, University of Zurich, and various industry events. As co-founder of the Causal Data Science Meeting I bring methodological approaches to both academic and practitioner audiences, helping organizations understand how to leverage causal inference and machine learning for decision-making.
Together with Paul Hünermund, I offer causal inference workshops designed for every skill level and industry type.
Advisory
My most recent advisory work focuses on helping organizations leverage machine learning and causal inference for strategic advantage. I've presented for diverse clients across industries, including Albert Heijn, Audi, Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS), Bosch, Boston Globe, BMW, Boston Consulting Group, Deutsche Lufthansa, Deutsche Telekom, Fraunhofer Ventures, German Aerospace Center, Kickstarter, NESTA, Swiss National Science Foundation, Vinted, among others. Whether you're seeking to understand how machine learning helps (and fails) to predict financing outcomes, how to implement causal discovery in your data science pipeline, or how to develop evidence-based innovation strategies, I translate academic research into practical language.
